How to Clean Grease From The Range Filters?
Cleaning the filter of your range hood might seem difficult
but trust me it is not as cumbersome as you might conceive. Many a time, we peek
underneath the range hood and find a lot of grease accumulated. But, how many times you get ready right away
to clean the grease? I know that it looks terrible but now with help of a range cleaner degreaser, it’s going to
be extremely easy. Get started with the following instructions.
Use Boiling Water
Most people when clean the filters of their range hood, they
clean it with cold water. It’s the biggest mistake and would only take extra
time for cleaning the filters. Once you’ve removed the filters from the range,
get some boiled water ready and fill the sink or bucket with it. Hot water
dissolves the grease faster and easier than the cold water can.
Soak The Filters in Water
Give some time for the grease to melt away in hot water.
Soak the greasy filter in sink or bucket for at least 10 minutes. After you
notice that the greasy filter is well immersed in the water, add a little range cleaner degreaser (I prefer Formula
88) on to the filter. Make sure the surface of the filter is covered with the
liquid cleaner.
Scrub And Clean
Now, pick the filter up carefully from the hot water and
scrub it with a non-abrasive brush. Scour the range filter for some time and
you will realize that the grease has started fading away. Once you are
satisfied that the range filter is clean, rinse it thoroughly in the water and
dry it. To dry it up, you can either use a cloth or a paper towel. You can now
get it attached to the range hood and repeat the process whenever needed.
